Terra Rimbau, a charming holiday home in Collioure

Nestled in the peaceful hamlet of Rimbau, in the heart of the Côte Vermeille vineyards , Terra Rimbau is a charming holiday home in Collioure , ideal for a relaxing break between the sea and the mountains. Completely and meticulously renovated, this former winemaker's house combines modern comfort with respect for the original structure, in a preserved natural setting emblematic of the landscapes of Collioure and Banyuls.

Situated on a plot of over 5,000 m², facing the Albères mountain range , the house offers a rare environment, conducive to calm, contemplation, and shared moments. Here, time naturally slows down, in rhythm with the seasons, the vineyards, and the Mediterranean light.

🌿 A winemaker's house steeped in family history

Terra Rimbau is not just a simple holiday rental.
It is first and foremost a family home , passed down and inhabited through generations.

This former home of my grandparents is where my father grew up and holds many of my childhood memories. The renovation was carried out with meticulous care, respecting the spirit of the place and its history. Every choice was guided by the desire to preserve the authenticity of this winemaker's house, while offering a level of comfort befitting a high-end stay.

This requirement for quality and respect for the place has been recognized by the Gîtes de France label, with a 4-star rating , a distinction awarded to accommodations offering a high level of comfort, services and authenticity.

🌿 An authentic charm, rooted in stone and time

Upon entering the house, you will discover unique elements that tell the story of its deep connection with the mountain and the local area.
In one of the rooms, natural rocks integrated into the construction testify to the fact that the house was built directly on the rock. Another fragment is visible in one of the bathrooms.

The exposed stone walls , the preserved old door hinges, a niche housing the Catalan pancake , as well as the family wardrobe and grandfather clock, evoke the life of yesteryear and the history of the place. These details give Terra Rimbau its unique character, a blend of memory, simplicity, and elegance, without ever betraying the spirit of the original house.

🌿 An outdoor space in the heart of the Côte Vermeille vineyards

Around the house, the schist walls, shaped by my grandfather and then by my father, extend this family history into the landscape. Terra Rimbau is located in the heart of the Côte Vermeille vineyard , a unique vineyard, shaped into schist terraces , which define the hillsides of Collioure and Banyuls.

From the house, it is possible to discover this vineyard directly , on foot, by taking the paths and trails that wind between the vines and the dry stone walls. The walks start here, without taking the car, as close as possible to nature and the local area.

The orchard at the house boasts a variety of fruit trees: citrus, fig, apricot, pistachio, strawberry, persimmon, pomegranate, jujube, almond, cherry, and olive. It invites visitors to discover local flavors throughout the seasons, in a natural and unspoiled setting, perfect for relaxation and conviviality.

Several hiking trails are directly accessible from Terra Rimbau, including the Chemin de l'eau (Water Trail) , and the ascent to the Tour de la Madeloc and the Tour de la Massane . These routes offer remarkable panoramas of the Côte Vermeille, the terraced vineyards and the Albères massif, and allow you to fully experience the area on foot and at your own pace.
